It's officially that time of year again.2K Sports releases the latest edition of NBA2K (this year's edition is titled NBA2K22), and fans are dissatisfied with the gameplay and player ratings. Normally, it's best to ignore the negativity on social media, but Hawks fans may have a legitimate reason to be upset this year. Despite the fact that player ratings are fluid and updated throughout the season, they certainly started out low when they were first released.

Fans aren't the only ones who pay attention to player ratings. The players themselves are frequently outspoken about how they appear in the game. Clint Capela made a post on his Instagram story about his rating earlier today. And let's not forget Trae Young's ongoing feud with the video game franchise. Fortunately, real games are decided on the hardwood rather than by a computer simulation. As Hawks Announcer Bob Rathbun pointed out in our interview, it's a good thing that everyone continues to underestimate the Atlanta Hawks. We will continue to provide you with updates as the season draws closer.

Five takeaways from the Sixers' NBA 2K22 ratings, including Ben Simmons' shooting slump and Joel Embiid's battle for the No. 1 center position. After finishing the 2020-21 season with the third-best record in the NBA and a trip to the second round of the playoffs, the Sixers were one of ten teams ranked in the top tier of the game. Philly received the nba2k22 mt in tier 1, but it appears that fans who support the Sixers will not be at a competitive disadvantage. Seth Curry is listed as one of the top-10 three-point shooters in the game, Joel Embiid has the seventh-highest overall rating among all players, and the Tyrese Maxey craze has caught the attention of the 2K creators. Ben Simmons' rating did drop a little bit, but that is only a one-point ding against the Sixers.

Here are five things to take away from the Sixers ratings in NBA 2K22.
Which player do you prefer, Jokic or Embiid? Who is the most important person in the room?
The NBA center debate will continue for another season after Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic finished in second and first place, respectively, in the MVP voting. On 2K, it was like splitting hairs because both players received a 95 overall rating. Jokic had a significant advantage in inside scoring (92 points), outside scoring (94) and playmaking (83 points). Embiid outperformed his opponent in terms of rebounding (91) and defense (76). Believe it or not, both players received a 79 for athleticism.

The popularity of Ben Simmons is waning.
Ben Simmons responded to his 87 overall rating in NBA 2K19 with the words "I'm coming for y'all" in a tweet that has since been deleted. He received the same rating for the next two seasons, but the three-time All-Star is now on a downward trend. Simmons' 2K rating has dropped to 84, which is the lowest it has been since his rookie season in 2017-18. He is still regarded as an elite defender and playmaker, but his three-point rating of 58 is lower than that of Deandre Ayton, Boban Marjanovic, Dwight Howard, and JaVale McGee.

Thybulle is regarded as one of the best defensive players in the NBA.
This may come as no surprise, but 2K has been caught on occasion rewarding reputations over a player's ability to play. This is not the case here. Matisse Thybulle received an 84 rating on defense, which was higher than wing defenders such as Ben Simmons, Jrue Holiday, Marcus Smart, and Paul George. Thybulle, who is ranked 25th in perimeter defense, did have a higher perimeter defense rating than the players mentioned above. Thybulle is listed on 2K as a small forward and power forward, which may have played a role in his perimeter defense placement. Kevin Durant, Jonathan Isaac, and Jayson Tatum are the only players with similar position rankings who have higher NBA 2K22 PS5 MT than the others. Only a few players, including Jimmy Butler, Kawhi Leonard, Anthony Davis, and Giannis Antetokounmpo, had better complete defensive numbers than Thybulle.

There are numerous shooters.
The Sixers finished in the top ten in three-point shooting last season and were rewarded for their efforts. Seven Sixers received an 80 or higher in three-point shooting. Mike Scott (77) and Shake Milton (78) were the only players to miss the cut.

What's the depth of the bench?
The Sixers' bench issues plagued them throughout the season, especially when it mattered the most, against the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA Playoffs. It appears that 2K is placing their bets on a more improved unit. Andre Drummond (79) received a slightly higher rating than Dwight Howard (78). Maxey and Milton both received a score of 76. The Sixers gained their second-best shooter as a result of the underappreciated signing of Georges Niang.
